All My Children's Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres) has been included in a star-powered pack of superheroes in the upcoming Netflix series Jupiter's Legacy.

Anyone who has ever seen Josh Duhamel in anything knows he is a superhero of the screen. From his role as All My Children's Leo du Pres to his part in the Transformers franchise, the actor usually flips cartwheels around his costars with pure talent and charisma. So, it's no surprise that he has landed his latest gig, the lead role in a comic book series called Jupiter's Legacy.

The upcoming Netflix show is based on the 2013 comic book of the same name written by Mark Millar and drawn by Frank Quitely. According to the official logline, the multi-generational drama "follows the world's first generation of superheroes who received their powers in the 1930s. Now, in present day, they are the revered older guard, but their superpowered children struggle to live up to the legendary feats of their parents."

Duhamel's character is Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian, which TV Line describes as the leader of the storied superhero team The Union. But times have changed, and Sheldon doesn't understand the world we live in anymore. Or his own family.

The actor took to Instagram, wearing what looks to be a costume from the upcoming series, joking: "Where have you been all my life, muscle suit?"

Duhamel joins Ben Daniels who plays the role of Sheldon's older brother, Walter Sampson/Brain-Wave, a man of vast intellect and cunning who, unlike Sheldon, isn't afraid to get his hands dirty -- or bloody.

Meanwhile, Leslie Bibb has taken on the role of Sheldon's wife, Grace Sampson/Lady Liberty, one of the most powerful heroes on the planet. She doesn't always agree with Sheldon but strives to balance his ideals with the reality of the modern, often violent, world they live in.

Other cast members include Matt Lanter in the role of Sheldon's former friend and now supervillain George Hutchence/Skyfox; Elena Kampouris as Grace and Sheldon's daughter, Chloe, who rejects everything her parents stand for and has forged her own hedonistic path; Andrew Horton as Grace and Sheldon's son, Brandon Sampson, who's training to assume the mantle of The Utopian and become the new leader of The Union, despite feeling unable to live up to his father's mythic legend; and Mike Wade as the heart and soul of The Union, Fitz Small/The Flare, who, despite suffering injuries that ended his career as a superhero, continues to be one of the most valued members of the team and is often the only thing holding them together in the face of an increasingly hostile world.

Duhamel won the hearts of daytime fans as All My Children's Leo du Pres, which he played from 1999 to 2002. He later went on to find mainstream success in television shows like Las Vegas, Battle Creek, and Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. as well as in films like Safe Haven, New Year's Eve, and the Transformers franchise.

Netflix has yet to release a premiere date for Jupiter's Legacy.
