It wasn't that long ago that The Bold and the Beautiful doctored up a character for daytime veteran Vincent Irizarry, but is the actor's time as Jordan Armstrong already coming to a close?

Daytime fans were thrilled when it was announced that The Bold and the Beautiful had cast longtime soap opera star Vincent Irizarry as Dr. Jordan Armstrong earlier this summer. Though it was only in a recurring capacity, it has been nice for fans of the genre to see him back on-screen, as they remembered him in roles like Days of our Lives' Deimos Kiriakis, The Young and the Restless' David Chow, and All My Children's David Hayward. But is Irizarry's time at B&B already over?

At the moment, Dr. Armstrong is overseeing the care of Katie Logan (Heather Tom), whose kidneys are failing and leaving the character on the verge of death. But a complimentary tweet sent out by one of the CBS soap's writers, Patrick Mulcahey, seems to indicate that the good doc may be on his way out after Katie's kidney storyline wraps.

"Vince, you've been an awesome doctor for us!" Mulcahey tweeted. "I wish we could push the rest of the cast off a cliff one by one so you could take care of them all. Here's hoping our paths cross again. And again."

Irizarry, who first began airing on B&B on August 26, responded to the tweet with, "Thank you, Patrick! It was, and always will be, a pleasure working with you again!"

Irizarry's role, as previously mentioned, is a recurring role, which means that he may be done taping for now but could return at any point in the future. If called upon, the actor says that he would be more than willing to step back into Dr. Armstrong's shoes.

"Sure! There may be some other ailing people who need a doctor on the show!" he said in July. "I love working. I love the medium. I've been very fortunate enough to work with some wonderful people in this genre. I really appreciate the work and how substantive it is. I love that stories go from week to week and month to month. It's exciting to me."

How do you feel about the possibility of Vincent Irizarry already having wrapped his time as B&B's Dr. Armstrong? What are your thoughts on the way B&B has used the character since he first began airing in August?
