The actress took to Instagram to announce the birth of her second child, born via surrogate, with a special photo of the new baby and his big sister, Natalia.
"I just knew that I wanted to be responsible for another human being in a different way than you're responsible for your friends or for a boyfriend or partner, husband, wife," the actress revealed during a recent appearance on the Kroll Call podcast (created and hosted by Soap Central founder Dan J Kroll) of her reason for wanting children. "In just a different way, I wanted to be responsible for somebody's future, you know what I mean, and for what that person puts into the world... So that's where it kind of began and ended, and that was very strong for me. That was a very strong desire, to be responsible for another person. And it's just -- you know, my daughter's just so... I can't say she's my best friend, because she's not -- she's my daughter. But it's a very, very special relationship. It's such a special relationship, and so wild. It's such a wild ride being a parent."
Soon after posting the first photo of baby Jameson, Stafford tweeted a thank you to all who have already sent congratulations. "Thank you all for the beautiful tweets regarding my son!!" she wrote. "He's amazing and calm and handsome! I'm the luckiest woman!! Truly!!!"
