One Life to Live star Erica Slezak (ex-Victoria Lord) shares a message with fans about the upcoming primetime soap special airing on ABC and how she's handling quarantine.

ABC will be airing a primetime special about the magic of soap operas on Tuesday, May 19, and One Life to Live fans can rest assured that legendary daytime actress Erica Slezak (ex-Victoria Lord) will take part in the much-anticipated television event.

The Los Angeles native took to her official website to share an update with fans. "ABC and People asked me to participate in this project, and [I] did a very long interview -- about two hours -- out of which they will probably use maybe five minutes," she jokes. "I hope you enjoy watching."

Slezak also took the time to give fans a little taste of what she's been up to since the stay-at-home orders took place in March.

"We are all doing well here in CT, and managing just as best as we can," she says. "We are lucky in that we have a home and food in the cupboard and the fridge and we are staying in. I haven't been to a store in sixty days. [My son] Michael does all the errands like grocery shopping etc., and fortunately he is very careful and staying healthy."

She continues, "The weather has, for the most part, been totally miserable. We have had maybe two or three really nice days, and it's been cloudy and rainy all the rest of the time, so there is really no reason to go outside anyway. I've been doing lots of reading and cleaning the house and clearing out of cupboards, etc, which keeps us busy."

Slezak ends her message by wishing all of her fans well and hoping that "we come out of this in one piece."

Erika Slezak originated the role of OLTL's Victoria Lord in 1971 and played the character until the soap opera went off the air in 2013. She won six Daytime Emmy Awards for her work as the Llanview matriarch and still holds the record for most wins by an actress. Since OLTL's cancellation, Slezak has made a 2019 appearance on Blue Bloods and a 2018 appearance on The Resident. She also appeared in Jeff Daniels' independent film Guest Artist.
